Beth Tweddle husband: How Olympian will echo Meghan Markle with baby due THIS MONTH

Beth Tweddle is best known for being the first female gymnast from Great Britain to win a medal at the European Championships, World Championships, and Olympic Games. She has also taken part in programmes such as Dancing on Ice and The Jump. Now retired, Beth will be appearing on a sport special of BBC’s Pointless Celebrities at 7.36pm tonight.

The episode also features Stephen Hendry, John Parrott, Perri Shakes Drayton, Kadeena Cox, Lee Pearson, Pat Nevin and Lawrie Sanchez.

How could the Olympian echo Meghan Markle?

Beth Tweddle married her partner Andy Allen at St Boniface Church in her home village of Banbury, Cheshire.

The pair tied the knot in June 2018, two years after Andy proposed at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Now the Olympian is expecting her first child and could echo Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex in having a May baby.

Beth announced the news in December 2018, sharing a cute snap to Instagram of under a Christmas tree with a sign that read “Our greatest gift is due to be unwrapped May 2019.”

The Team GB star, 33, wrote: “Really excited to share the news that Andy and I are expecting our first child in May 2019.”

Not much else is known about Beth’s baby, with gender and exact due date a mystery – much like Meghan’s was.

Of her wedding to Andy, Beth told Hello! magazine: “The whole thing was just magical, more so than we ever could have imagined.

“On the morning, so many people in the village had come to my house to see the cars off and along the route.

“And I couldn’t believe how many people were outside the church.”

She added of her future plans: “It’s like we’re opening up a new book.

“We’re excited about the future and have loads to look forward to.”
