Meanwhile, Lynne Spears reportedly is very ‘concerned’ about her pop star daughter after the latter speaks out about her 13-year-long conservatorship at a court.
AceShowbiz –Britney Spears‘ father might have regretted his treatment of the singer. After the “Toxic” hitmaker spoke up about her 13-year-long conservatorship for the first time, Jamie Spears is reportedly “sorry” for making her suffer “so much pain.”
Speaking on behalf of the 68-year-old was his attorney, Vivian Thoreen. When appearing in the Wednesday, June 23 court hearing, the attorney stated, “He’s sorry to see his daughter suffering in so much pain.”
As for Britney’s mother Lynne Spears, she was said to have been “very concerned” about the pop star after she broke her silence regarding her conservatorship. Her attorney Gladstone Jones requested the judge to grant the singer’s plea to hire her own private lawyer and to change her care plan.
In the court hearing, Britney explained her years of struggle under her father’s control. “The control he had to hurt his own daughter – he loved it. I worked seven days a week,” the mother of two claimed. “It was like sex trafficking.”
The “Oops!…I Did It Again” songstress also divulged that she was put on Lithium against her will. “It’s a strong drug. You can go mentally impaired if you stay on it longer than 5 months. I felt drunk, I couldn’t even have a conversation with my mom or dad about anything,” she raged.
Britney then pleaded with the judge to end her conservatorship. “The last time I spoke to you, it made me feel like I was dead, like I didn’t matter. like you thought I was lying. I’m not lying, so that maybe you understand the depth and degree, I deserve changes,” she stressed. “This conservatorship is doing me way more harm than good.”
“I’m not happy, I can’t sleep, I’m so angry it’s insane and I am depressed, I cry every day” she said. “I want to be heard… I want changes and I want changes going forward. I deserve changes.”
