Coronation Street actress Kate Spencer, 29, has revealed that she’s been working as an estate agent during lockdown in a gracious Twitter post. The star, who returned to her role as Grace Vickers on the hit ITV soap last year revealed that like many other people during the coronavirus pandemic, she was grateful to be given a sense of normality over the past 10 months due to her second job.

Taking to Twitter, the actress posted the sweet tweet in view of her nearly 2,000 followers.

She wrote: “Today was my last day at the part-time job I did during lockdown.

“Huge shout out to @BelvoirLetsWB for welcoming me in with opening arms, teaching me all about property, giving me some sort of regularity over the last year and always having a giggle.”

The star ended the post: “10months of gratefulness.”

The star accompanied the post with two pictures celebrating her last day.

Kate looked ever professional in a pair of smart black trousers, a pretty pink top and a pair of chic black pumps.

Smiling, she gripped onto a balloon that read “sorry you’re leaving” and held a large bouquet of pink and white flowers to mark her last day.

The actress thanked her colleagues for teaching her new skills, but looked happy at the prospect of pursuing acting again.

Prior to her role on Coronation Street, Kate appeared on BBC drama Doctors as well as in numerous plays.

Kate first graced viewers’ screens in Weatherfield in November 2019, appearing as the ex-girlfriend of aspiring entrepreneur Michael Bailey.

However, months later she left the ITV drama when her character fled after it came to light that she had committed paternity fraud by claiming that Michael was the father of her daughter.

The star has since returned to the screen as Grace Vickers as well as spending time working at the Nottingham-based estate agents over the last 10 months.

In March earlier this year the ITV star wowed fans when she revealed that she had lost four stone before making her Corrie debut.

Kate put the weight loss down to her love of yoga, boxing and running as she revealed she was previously overweight before appearing on screen.

She told Soap Magazine: “I actually lost four stone about five years ago, partly through training and also eating better.

“I love running, and I did five half-marathons in 2020 – I ran one this morning too! I have the Hamilton soundtrack and Jason Derulo on my running playlist.”

“I’ve been doing some boxing with my boyfriend during lockdown as well, but I’m not a good student, and he’s a pro.

“I always think I know better!” she added.

Coronation Street is on ITV on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7.30pm and 8.30pm
