Simon Rimmer says that going to restaurants is ‘fantastic’
Gemma Atkinson said she was “gutted” for Sunday Brunch host Simon Rimmer last night. The actress took to Twitter to support her Strictly Come Dancing co-star.

It came after the 57-year-old said he’d “had enough” of this year, in light of seeing his empty restaurant.
The Channel 4 host talked the lack of trade at his German restaurant in Manchester – which remains shut due to Tier 3 rules.
Simon has 14 restaurants, many of which have had very little time to make money due to closures in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
The father-of-two was inundated with replies when he spoke out in view of his 271,000 followers.

One of which was his colleague and pal Gemma, 36, who had intended to visit his eatery three times.
However, she had not been able to make any of them, seemingly due to the rules in the tiered system.
Simon originally tweeted: “Being in @AlbertsSchloss 2 days before Xmas and no trade.
“This time last year we’d be packed already.”
Alongside an image of his empty business, he added: “Do one 2020 I’ve had enough.”
Gemma appeared on Strictly three years ago with the small screen favourite and they have regualrly been pictured out together since.
She revealed in reply: “We’ve had 3 reservations there and been forced to cancel them all. Gutted for you Si.
“As soon as it’s safe to be there we’re coming back!” to her own 276,000 fans.

Simon said he’d be wasting no time in seeing her, writing: “We’re OUT OUT gem xx.”
He was also supported by a number of other users, who sympathised with his tricky situation.
One person told him: “So sorry Simon, I can only imagine what you are going through, I do not have a business but I have my elderly sick mum to look after and we too want 2020 to do one.
“I hope all will be OK for us all and 2021 will be a better year.”
A second went on to say: “Love this place. Last visit I was feeling so down on a rainy day, ‘commiserating’ my 50th birthday after my car had just failed its MOT.
“I was treated like royalty & left feeling a million dollars. Can’t tell you how special and appreciated everyone is! See you in 2021.”
Simon has a long list of businesses as well as Albert Scloss in nothern England.
These include Rudy’s, The Elephant Pub, Liberty Tavern and Alberts Schenke.
