Giovanni Pernice, 31, appeared to be more than loved up with social media star girlfriend Maura Higgins, 30. However, after making their romance official earlier this year, the pair have sparked rumours that their relationship has come to an end after they have deleted all traces of each other from their accounts.

The Strictly professional and the Irish beauty have been officially dating since June and were set to move in together this month.

Last week Maura hinted she was moving in with the Italian hunk when she posted an array of moving boxes in her London apartment.

She filled in her followers as to why she had been so quiet on social media.

The video said: “It’s finally moving week!

“Reason for my absence.”

Earlier this month there was even talk of Giovanni popping the question to the social media star.

The Strictly star’s pals told The Sun that they “wouldn’t be surprised” if he proposed to Maura in the near future.

However, it seems this may not be the case as it Giovanni has seemingly deleted all pictures on his Instagram that he shared with his girlfriend.

Likewise, Maura has done the same and reportedly unfollowed him on the platform.

Express.co.uk have contacted Giovanni Pernice and Maura Higgins’ representatives for comment.

Fans expressed on Twitter their shock at the couple’s suggested split.

Leoni_allen said: “Why has Maura deleted her posts with Giovanni?

“Not the #strictycurse again…”

KaylieBennett2 added: “Well the relationship between Giovanni and Muara didn’t last long then.”

Scottishlass71 remarked: “Both Giovanni and Maura change partners quicker than ppl change socks.” (sic)

The couple first announced their relationship on July 9.

Love Island and Strictly viewers expressed their surprise at the relationship, wishing the new couple well while admitting they hadn’t seen the romance coming.

Nicolakate said: “I wasn’t ready for this.”

Giovanni, who joined the BBC competition series in 2015, had previously been in a relationship with his first Strictly partner Georgia May Foote.

He later dated another contestant, Ashley Roberts, in 2019.
