Warning: The following contains spoilers for Season 2 of Too Hot to Handle.
As the trolls rage and keyboard bang—wHy Is MeNS HeaLTH CoVERiNG ToO HOt ToO HANdlE??—we look upon your disgust and we do not care. Too Hot to Handle is goddang peak entertainment content, featuring everything we love, like men being vulnerable in front of women, bros supporting bros, and totally unnecessary, absolutely ridiculous, utterly meaningless competition. Who will win? And more importantly, who will lose by getting laid?
After season 2, it’s clear one couple definitely won, in that not only did they literally win money—Marvin Anthony taking home the entire pot of $55,000—they also got to break most of the rules and copulate without consequence, showing that meaningful connections very much can be made after seemingly meaningless physical intimacy, thank you very much, Lana, you sexual Puritan.
Marvin and Melinda Melorose (Marlinda? Melvin?) weren’t just the hottest couple to handle—both admitting to using the other sex for their own pleasure (not that there’s anything wrong with sex for one’s own pleasure, so long as intentions are communicated and acts are consensual, but you get the point). The couple also developed the most apparent bond, fully committing to each other at the end of the season. Marvin, who lives in Paris, wanted to be exclusive with New York’s Melinda. And Melinda wanted Marvin.
It was a big decision for both of them. Did it last? Months later, did Marvin and Melinda make it work?
A post shared by Marvin Anthony⚡️ (@marvin.anthony_)
Are Marvin and Melinda still together?
Does the hot and sweaty emoji lie? Melinda replied to Marvin’s recent Instagram post with the emoji, meaning the two of them are still going strong, or they’re contractually obligated to maintain the illusion of continuity in order for Netflix to better profit of their perfectly sculpted bodies. Either way, it’s promising for Marlinda.
As the second batch of season 2 is now available on Netflix, we imagine both contestants are released from their silence obligations. We should find out soon whether or not Paris came to New York or New York to Paris. We’re rooting for you, Marlinda?
