This Morning host Holly Willoughby joined fellow TV star Davina McCall for an Instagram live session last night. The 39-year-old, who is an ambassador for Garnier UK, could be seen dying her naturally brunette tresses blonde when she made her candid comment.

Holly and Davina, 53, could both be seen in their respective bathrooms as they got to work with the home hair dying kit, in view of the former Big Brother host’s 1.2 million followers.

“I’m not an expert but you don’t have to be. That’s the point of home colouring,” Holly said.

“Had it not been for lockdown I’m not sure we would have done this on camera.

“But now people know that we do actually do it at home,” she continued.

While talking about changing their hair colour, a short while later, Davina said: ”I went from blonde to brunette and I was like, I feel a bit invisible… now I can’t imagine being blonde.”

“Well that’s lucky for me, cause I’m the blonde one and you’re the brunette one. I would be out of a job.”

During the first lockdown it became apparent the television star was dying her hair at home, as hairdressers closed.

However, some fans were not all convinced that the presenter, who hosted her ITV show throughout the coronavirus pandemic with Phillip Scofield, had been doing it herself.

“I’m still not convinced Holly colours her own hair,” one follower wrote in the comments section of Davina’s post.

“She LITERALLY just did it right in front of you!” another pointed out.

“Doesn’t mean she does it on the regular,” a third follower remarked.

However, others really enjoyed watching the TV stars do their own hair.

“Thank you for being real ladies! Love you both,” one person said, while another added: “Can we get more of these lives!”
