Kerry Katona ‘I’m having corrective surgery this month after disastrous tummy tuck’

Kerry Katona has revealed she will be undergoing corrective surgery this month after having a tummy tuck last year.

After experiencing swelling on her stomach, mum of five, Kerry, 42, says as well as the corrective surgery, she will be having an eyelift with Pall Mall Cosmetics.

And as she undergoes the procedures in 2023, Kerry reveals she will be taking time off work to properly recover.

Kerry admitted in her column: "Before the madness begins and I go back into work mode, I’m taking the whole of January off.

"I’m having corrective surgery this month with Pall Mall Cosmetics after undergoing a tummy tuck elsewhere last year and I’m also having an eyelid lift."

Kerry explained she won't be doing any work for the whole of January so she recovers following both procedures.

"So I need to allow myself time to recover. I also really need some time out after such a busy period," she added.

"I want to be at home and spend some quality time with Ryan and the kids. Being off work for a month will allow me to get back into my routine and will really boost my mental well-being."

Kerry previously wrote in her autobiography, Whole Again, that having the secret tummy tuck was "the worst thing she ever did".

A "tummy tuck" is also known as abdominoplasty – a cosmetic procedure to improve the shape of the tummy area.

The star said: "It’s my own fault. It wasn’t a botched job or anything like that.

"I didn’t let my body recover and rather than resting, I moved house."

Kerry revealed her whole body resulted in "swelling" after she didn't recover properly from the procedure.

The TV personality previously spoke about how she is "embracing" her changing figure, revealing she's become more body confident with her age.

She opened up by telling OK! exclusively: "As much as I champion people to be comfortable in their own skin, I know it can be hard.

"As I’ve got older, I’ve started to embrace it. I’m not 21 anymore and it’s normal for your body to change."

Kerry went on to explain: "Naturally, my body is going to change. I’ll do everything in my power to stop it from changing drastically but it’s harder to keep your body at my age. I’m embracing it."
