Social media users have been dragging both the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star and her upcoming walnut face scrub as they believe that the product is harmful to the skin.
AceShowbiz –Kylie Jenner is expanding her makeup business to skin care products, but the response doesn’t seem to be favorable even before its launch. This is because the beauty mogul’s skin care line includes a walnut face scrub, which many deem harmful to the skin.
Kylie introduces the product through an Instagram video which sees her saying, “It’s really gentle. It’s gentle enough to use every day. I recommend two or three times a week. That’s how much I use it. Some walnut face scrubs are kind of harsh on the skin. This isn’t too abrasive. It really leaves my face feeling super baby soft. Makes you look glowy and takes away dead skin cells. My walnut face scrub is my secret to a fresh face.”
Even though the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star has assured that her walnut face scrub is not as “abrasive” as other products, people aren’t convinced enough and begin dragging both her and the product down. “Walnut is so bad for your skin long term and that is well known. This does not give me hope for the rest of the products because it means they didn’t do the bare minimum research,” one says.
One other appears to be in shock as writing, “A WALNUT FACE SCRUB?! Why is Kylie trying to destroy our skin omfg,” as another says, “Scrubs like these overall does not nothing major beside harm to your skin.” Someone else points out, “Omg not WALNUT Kylie the girls have been dragging St. Ives for 10 years now lol read the ROOM.”
The social media user is referring to the once-popular St. Ives apricot scrub, which was the subject of a lawsuit back in 2017 as it used crushed walnuts powder that is harmful to the skin. The case was eventually dismissed as there was no proof that the apricot scrub was a safety hazard or defective, or that it caused the alleged damage to users’ skin.
