Maddie & Tae earned their second No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay Chart with the help of “Die of a Broken Heart.”
Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye‘s “Die From a Broken Heart” rose from second spot to No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart dated August 22. The song earned 35.9 million audience impressions, up 8%, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
“We write music that we love, hoping that other people love it and connect with it as well,” Maddie & Tae told Billboard in a statement. “When we wrote this song, it was our truth, and we hope sharing our truth makes one less person feel alone.”
Maddie & Tae top the chart for the first time since their debut hit, “Girl in a Country Song,” which spent a week at No. 1 in December 2014.
“Die of a Broken Heart” is the second single from Maddie & Tae’s The Way It Feels.
