The ‘Top Chef’ star is photographed sharing a sweet kiss with the ‘Lighthead’ author while walking her dog, Divina, outside her apartment building in Manhattan, New York City.
AceShowbiz –Padma Lakshmi seemed to have found herself a new love. Months after her split from Adam Dell, the “Top Chef” star was caught kissing famed writer Terrance Hayes while walking her dog in New York City.
In photos obtained by Page Six, the 50-year-old star could be seen sharing a sweet kiss behind her face mask with her rumored new beau on Monday, June 14 outside her Manhattan apartment building. Aside from exchanging smooches with the rumored boyfriend during the night stroll with her pup, Divina, the professional chef-turned-television personality could be seen cozying up to the 49-year-old poet as the two held hands.
“It’s early days,” a source told the publication of the budding relationship. “They’re just getting to know each other.” For date night with her possible new boyfriend, the culinary enthusiast donned a simple white ruffled dress with a brown belt and wedge sandals. In the meantime, the famed poet was photographed wearing a striped black tee, jeans and slide sandals as he hugged and pecked the “Planet Food” star through her face mask.
Terrance is a professor of creative writing at New York University and previously worked as the poetry editor for New York Times Magazine from 2017 to 2018. He was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2015 and 2018 and won the prestigious honor in 2010 for a poetry collection titled “Lighthead”.
Prior to allegedly dating Terrance, Padma was in an on-and-off relationship with venture capitalist Adam since 2009. However, a source confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday that the former couple, who shares 11-year-old daughter Krishna Thea, went their separate ways earlier this year.
“Adam and Padma broke up shortly after the new year, it was very amicable,” the source explained. “They are intent on staying the best of friends and remain like family.” The so-called inside source went on to add that the exes “are still very close and are committed to co-parenting their daughter, Krishna, who has always been their first priority.”
The cookbook author was previously married to author Salman Rushdie for three years before deciding to call it quits in July 2007. In August 2020, the “Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi” host opened up about not having “a perfect balance” when it came to co-parenting with the venture capitalist. “Every day is different,” she told Us Weekly at the time, adding that Krishna will always be “the real star in the family.”
