Plant will be joining indie-rockers Kurt Vile & the Violators and perennial festival closer Emmylou Harris at the free three-day concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park on October 4 through 6.
Plant has previously performed twice at the festival, which celebrates bluegrass and other genres of roots music. He performed in 2008 with Alison Krauss and in 2011 with his Americana group, Band of Joy.
Other artists on the 2019 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass lineup include, Tanya Tucker, The Waterboys, Steve Earle & the Dukes, Meat Puppets, Bettye Lavette and Buddy Miller.
