This Morningstar Matthew Wright has proudly shown off his ever-growing plait.
Matthew first debuted his unique hairstyle back in 2020 after admitting to cutting his own hair during lockdown – like many people across the UK at the time.
Initially, Matthew was rocking what looked to be the early stages of a mullet, and the 56 year old TV presenter has kept growing the back of his hair ever since.
Addressing This Morning viewers' confusion over his quirky look, Matthew tweeted in 2020: “A lot of interest in my #lockdown rat tail/ pony tail/ mullet as seen on @thismorning earlier."
“@mrsameliawright gonna be furious!!” he added, tagging his wife.
By January 2021, Matthew was officially rocking a miniature ponytail at the back of his head, and now has a full-blown plait with beads on the end.
This Morning viewers have since questioned why he still has the unusual hairstyle.
“When are you gonna get that daft bit of hair cut off?” one person questioned, as someone else said: “The illogical annoyance I feel towards Matthew Wright's rat tail #ThisMorning.”

“Reminds me of that episode of Only Fools & Horses when Casandra mistakes Rodney’s hair piece pony tail as a rat!” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, other fans of Matthew’s appear to have grown to love it.
“@Matthew_Wright lovely to see you on #ThisMorning today, your hair is looking wicked! The tail is getting really long now!” said one viewer.
“I am kind of liking the rat's tail, it injects a wee bit of personality,” someone else said.
Earlier this month, Matthew infuriated This Morning viewers afterhe criticised the Queen.
Discussing the re-release of a book about the 95 year old monarch, The Other Side Of The Coin: The Queen, The Dresser, and The Wardrobe, Matthew told hosts Vernon Kay and Josie Gibson: "You know, why does a royal family have to be incredibly rich?
"If you look at other royal families around Europe, they go around on bicycles, they live normal lives.”
He went on: "I felt very uncomfortable watching Prince Andrew walk her through the other day for Philip's ceremony."
Matthew also noted how someone has to break the Queen’s shoes in for her so that they’re more comfortable.
As Matthew made his thoughts on the Queen clear, viewers also made their opinion of his thoughts well-known on social media.
"Bore off Matthew. Seriously, like a broken record #ThisMorning,” wrote one person, as someone else said: “Alright Matthew you don't like the royals we get it #ThisMorning."
