AJ ended her post with the hashtag: “#WhatADifferenceAWeekMakes.”

In the snap, AJ looked the epitome of glam as she wore a stunning silver and white dress and a slick of red lipstick.

Grinning for the picture, a dapper-looking Kai wrapped his arm affectionately around her waist as he posed with a thumbs-up.

Following her post, AJ’s fans rushed to the comments to console the star following their exit from the show.

Rwiddringtonx wrote: “Wedding vibes … wishful thinking maybe. You both smashed it.”

Dortepost penned: “Mr. and Mrs. Widdudu showing us how to laugh through the tears and love through the hard times.

“You are the perfect example of the sun being greater than it’s parts. This is just one chapter in your journey. There are many more to come,” they ended their post.

Turnerrebecca wrote: “My winners from day one. So proud of you both. Rest up and bring on tour.”

Hardeesh penned: “Your dance soulmate,” followed by three heart emojis.

Yesterday, AJ confirmed that she had been forced to drop out of the final after injuring her ankle.

In a candid post, the “gutted” star told how she could “barely stand” after tearing her spring ligament.

Giving her followers an update on her health, AJ wrote: “I’ve had ultrasounds, MRI scans and x-rays.

“I’ve had two incisions to drain the inflammation around my ankle.

“I’ve injected local anaesthetic directly into my foot, I have been strapped up to an ice compression machine for days.

She went on: “I’ve done all I can possibly do to get back on my feet for the @bbcstrictly Final, I even asked the docs if I could perform in a medical moonboot!

“But the fact is, I can’t stand on my feet let alone dance because I’ve torn my spring ligament.”

AJ went on to gush over her partner Kai, adding that she’ll treasure her Strictly experience forever.

She continued: “Learning to dance over the last 13 weeks has been an incredible honour and to do it alongside someone as special, patient and devoted as Kai is something I’ll treasure forever.

“You’re the best @kaiwidd and I know you were ready to be my human crutch on that dancefloor come tomorrow night.”

Tonight’s final sees John Whaite and his partner Johannes Radebe go up against EastEnders star Rose Ayling Ellis and dance pro Giovanni Pernice.

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight at 7.10pm on BBC One.
