The Duchess of Cambridge looked beautiful in a £1,605 Roland Mouret dress with a stunning asymmetrical neckline. She wore over it a black Catherine Walker coat.

She wore a pair of earrings borrowed from the Queen, as well as a Japanese Pearl choker necklace, worn by Princess Diana in the past.

The Duchess also wore a pair of towering black heels, in black suede.

It was Her Highness’s mastery of these skyscraper heels that wowed a number of fans, who expressed this sentiment on Twitter.

And it wasn’t just Kate. A number of royal women all battled through the day in huge heels.

One fan wrote: “Can I also just say, looking at Kate, Sophie, Beatrice & Eugenie walking up the hill while they’re all wearing very high heels makes my feet hurt in solidarity w/ them.”

After the service, the royals had to walk up a hill to return to Windsor castle.

One remarked: “How on earth did Kate manage to walk back uphill in those high heels?”

“Boy, those are really high heels,” one observed.

Commenting on Kate’s penchant for high shoes, one wrote: “But one thing about Kate is that she loves heels, remember she rocked them at a royal engagement while pregnant with Prince Louis…”

“Kate needs to drop the tutorial on how she walks on them heels on cobblestones,” one said.

However, others pointed out the fact Kate was walking on cobblestones alongside Harry and William, who trod on the easier to manage path.

One said: “Kate walking in heels on cobblestone while the other two on concrete.”

“Kate in heels on uneven cobblestone gutter. Thoughtful chivalrous knights on smooth sidewalk. It is a great system,” another remarked.

One said: “Be nice if Kate was given the grace of the footpath in heels tho?!”

Another wrote: “Shouldn’t Kate be on the path in those heels.”

Kate Middleton’s earrings for Philip’s funeral held a touching meaning as were given to Her Majesty as a wedding gift.

They feature diamond studs with pearls hanging from chains covered in diamonds.

Fans swooned over images of Kate at the funeral.

The royal was snapped looking directly at the camera as she sat in the back of one of the funeral cars.

Fans have gone mad over the stunning picture, with one social media user saying that she was “born to be a Queen”.
