SPEAKING from experience here, you can't force your kids into liking anything – especially when it comes to toys.
So rather than only buying her six-year-old son stereotypical "masculine" toys like Power Rangers and Lego for Christmas, mum-of-two Caitlin Fladager is taking a different approach.
Earlier this month, the 27-year-old, from Vancouver, hit back at trolls who criticise her for letting her son Jack play with Barbies.
Filming herself wrapping up his new doll, the mum said: "My kids get what makes them happy for Christmas.
"Not what society thinks they should get."
In the short clip, the mum mimed along to a Friends quote where Rachel Green says: "Okay see, now what I just heard… blah blah blah, blah blah blah."

Mocking the criticism that's often levelled at her, Caitlin added: "When someone tells me I shouldn't give my son the Barbies he wants for Christmas because he's a boy."
Needless to say, the clip was met with an overwhelming amount of support from Caitlin's 587,000 followers.

One replied: "Kids can play with any toy that makes them happy – my daughter prefers cars."
Another added: "Give him those Barbies!! Why deny him is happy. Go mama!"
"My son has a unicorn stuffed animal that was his sisters and he loves it and the last time I took him to the store he saw a unicorn and wanted it and some old man said no you don't want that's for girls," a third wrote. "So I bought a unicorn in every colour they had!"
In July, Caitlin faced similar criticism when she took Jack to get his nails done at the salon with her.
In a viral TikTok video, the mum said: "He was so excited and couldn't wait for his appointment.
"He picked his two favourite colours – blue and green."
Hitting back at a troll who said he "needs a father figure ASAP", Caitlin wrote: "He was so excited to show his daddy his painted nails."
Caitlin got pregnant with her high school sweetheart Noah when she was 18 years old and the married couple share their two children, Adriana and Jack.
