KITH and Russell Athletic Release Upcycled Staples for FW20

On the heels of KITH’s Nike Air Force 1 “NYC” collaboration is a new partnership with perennial American sportswear label, Russell Athletic. The duo’s expansive assemblage for the colder months features a gi, hoodies, crewnecks and shorts. All items were upcycled from vintage pieces and feature patchwork details in a neutral and earthy color palette.

“This marriage of Kith’s patterns and Russell Athletic’s vintage archive serves as the perfect embodiment of this partnership. A specific color palette is exhibited through these styles, as the vintage pieces were sourced according to a specific color range inspired by Kith’s and Russell’s signature tones. Lastly, an embroidered Kith for Russell patch is seen across every style as a final stamp of approval,” as per a statement.

Accompanying the four styles mentioned is a capsule of Russell Athletic vintage tees curated by KITH. Totaling nearly 160 pieces, all of the garments were made from apparel that date back from 1970-99. All of the tees are embellished with a KITH logo printed across the chest portions. This vintage selection will not be sold online due to its one-of-one nature, but will be available exclusively in KITH’s US and Japan flagship stores and select shops. Sizes offered include XS/S, M/L and XL/XXL depending on the piece.

The KITH for Russell Athletic “One of One” collection is slated to release on October 5 at all KITH stores. View the collaboration in the slideshow above and then visit KITH’s website for more information.

Elsewhere in fashion, the Trilogy Tapes reinterpret its geometric logo across bold pieces in its latest FW20 collection.
