PEOPLE are only just realising that they’ve been using bin bags backwards for years.
Dustin took to TikTok to test out a hack he’d seen another content creator use, which proved that we’ve all been using our bin bags inside out.
Dustin Hadley, known online as @that40yearguy, regularly tests out life hacks he’s spotted online before sharing the results with his 1.4 million followers.
In his latest reel, he said: “You’re telling me that for 40 years of putting a trash bag in, I’ve been doing it backwards?
“Ain’t no way.”
During the 39-second reel, the content creator is seen opening his bin bag before turning it upside down, so the opening faces the floor.

He places this over the top of his bin and secures it in place by twisting the excess and tucking it in.

He added: “Who knew garbage bags were inside out? Wow.”
