High street store beauty advent calendars are a great way to go because they give you the chance to try loads of different brands out all in one go. Case in point: Next’s offering, which is stuffed full of treats from brands like Urban Decay, MAC, Kiehl’s, Philip Kingsley and more. There’s also a men’s option on offer for the same price, should you want to treat the grooming lover in your life. We’ll take three, please.

Holland & Barrett 25 Days of Clean Beauty Advent Calendar, £45 (worth over £170)
If it’s natural and organic beauty buys you’re after, Holland & Barrett really is the place to go, and the waiting list to get your hands on one is now live. Inside this calendar you’ll find more than £170 worth of products – a value of almost four times the actual price tag – from hero beauty brands like REN and Weleda. You’ll have to be speedy if you want to shop this one, though, as last year’s offering sold out completely in three weeks flat!

Nivea Ski Lodge Advent Calendar, £40
Who doesn’t love a bit of Nivea? It’s a classic for a reason, plus a very affordable treat if spending £400 on an advent calendar just isn’t an option. Inside this year’s instalment of the annual Ski Lodge offering you’ll get 24 iconic skincare products like the brand’s Lip Balm, Shower Cream, MicellAIR Micellar Water and even an eye mask. Lovely stuff.

Not a brand for people who don’t love cats, Paul & Joe’s festive offering is a great way to replenish your makeup bag for the year ahead with a load of fun, feline-inspired cosmetics (the highlighters are a must-try). And although its price tag comes in at just under £100, the contents are worth almost double that. Bargain!
