Holby City fans can’t cope as show airs four returns in one episode

The final ever episode of Holby City is nearing ever closer and tonight, the medical drama brought back not one, not two, not three, but FOUR characters – three of which aren’t even alive!

Tonight, we opened the episode with Jac (Rosie Marcel) in a dream-like state.

The popular character is in a hospital bed now after collapsing in last week’s episode.

With Jac’s health deteriorating, the dream saw the return of Essie Di Lucca (Kaye Wragg), Arthur Digby (Rob Ostlere) and Jac’s sister Jasmine (Lucinda Dryzek).

It was another brief return for all three characters, but that didn’t stop fans from expressing their love:

‘I loved him!’, one fan wrote as Arthur popped up on screen.

Arthur’s ghost! I loved him. #HolbyCity

Essie, Digby and Jasmine in first two minutes…think this will be a good episode! #HolbyCity

‘ARTHUR OH MY GOD’, another added.

All three of these characters died at Holby City.

For Essie and Arthur, they passed away in 2020 and 2016 after losing their battles with cancer.

For Jac’s sister, Jasmine, she died in 2017 following a fatal stabbing.

Jac’s dream highlighted her fears that she wouldn’t be able to find a surgeon to remove her brain tumour, but things changed when returnee number 4 entered Darwin Ward.

Elliot Hope (Paul Bradley).

But can he do it?

Can he find an operation that will remove Jac’s brain tumour?
