We are sadly coming to the end of the seventh series of Love Island and whilst we’ll miss the drama that has been unfolding, we will obviously miss the fashion more.
Since the start of the show, the ladies have been setting some of the biggest trends for summer – including the daring underboob trend and hottest bikini styles.
One question viewers have been wondering is just how the cast go about getting their clothes.
Well, we spoke to Leanne Holmes, Buying and Brand Director at ISAWITFIRST who are the official fashion partners of the show, to get the low down on all the behind the scenes action.
Laura explains: “Ahead of the series the islanders are allowed to choose some pieces from our collection and give our team a little more insight into their likes and dislikes.”
Which makes sense how the original girls such as Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole stole the show from the very first day by ticking all of the boxes with their outfits.
The samples are sent out to the Islanders in the villa as and when they are needed so that pieces aren't reworn.
Laura then went on to say that: “During the series the product team works closely with ITV and the Fashion Coordinator in Mallorca to carefully curate Islanders’ wardrobes based on their personal style.”
We can definitely see why cast members such as Faye Winter and Millie Court have become firm favourites as we have not only seen them wow in every episode but also how their style has developed throughout the series – can we get our own Fashion Coordinator please?
“It’s really important to us that the Islanders are wearing what they want and feel comfortable and confident," Laura explained.
“We have a daily call with ITV to discuss product, including feedback from the Islanders themselves.”
“The team then reacts quickly to send out new, on trend pieces to the villa.”

Throughout the show, we haven’t just seen ISAWITFIRST being worn in the villa as other online fashion brands such as PrettyLittleThing and Oh Polly have also made appearances.
These brands also follow in ISAWITFIRST’s footsteps in sending the Islanders a selection of outfits for the evening and swimwear for the daytime.
Laura revealed how ahead of the finale on August 23: “We are currently working really closely with the team out in Mallorca on the Islanders’ dresses for the night of their declarations of love, as seen in the final episode, but these will remain top secret until the day!”
We can’t wait to not only see who makes the final but of course see what they’re wearing – not long now.
