Jay Kontzle can currently be found lighting up screens on Emmerdale where he plays Billy Fletcher.
The 30-year-old landed the part in 2018 and has proved popular with viewers ever since.
However, his appearances on screen have left soap fans curious about his life off-screen and where else you might have seen him.
Before pursuing acting, Jay was in a chart-topping boyband that you might just recognise.

Jay landed the part in 2018 after being tipped off about a casting session by his friend, Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas.
He said: "It wasn’t until I went that everything fell into place and the role really suited me. It’s been a very busy and exciting time since then and I am very happy."
Before that, his main TV credit was a part in the Channel 4 series Fresh Meat starring Jack Whitehall.
He was brought up by his grandparents after his mother was tragically killed in a car accident when he was still a baby.
Speaking about his upbringing, Jay told OK!: "My mum was the best person in the world, but my grandparents have done a really good job.
"I really appreciate everything they've done for me."
He also told the Manchester Evening News that the tragedy in his early life shaped who he is today, saying: "I believe all these negative things help to build your character."
You may also recognise Jay from his appearance on Britain’s Got Talent.
He was one quarter of boyband The Mend who made it through to the live finals in 2012.
The band was formed in 2008 by ex-Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith, and had a huge legion of fans before they announced their split in 2015.
Jay told Cheshire Live: "Being part of The Mend was a huge life experience for me and some of the best times of my life.
"Obviously being on tour and performing live on TV gave me so much experience, but as we grew older we realised that as a boy band that catered for teenagers, we couldn’t keep re-inventing ourselves."
It was through his band that he met his artist wife Mimi when she attended one of their gigs.
The couple married in 2017 and share two children.
Speaking about their wedding, Mimi told OK!: "We just had family there and it was really nice. It was inevitable that we were going to get married, so we thought, why not do it now!"
Discussing their family life with their two young children, she added: "It's hard work but it's worth it. But this age is the best age because they're so loving."
