Body language expert Judi James looked at images of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their trip around London yesterday. The professional made a number of observations.

The Duke and Duchess are two of the UK’s most prominent royals, especially since Harry and Meghan Markle, who have the titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, left the Royal Family.

Meghan and Prince Harry returned to the former-actress’s home country, now residing in LA.

However, the body language expert claimed despite their absence, the pair are still having an impact.

This includes on Kate Middleton and William’s behaviour yesterday.

Judi James told Express.co.uk: “There’s a ‘Harry and Meghan’ residue here too, in the way that the Cambridge’s appear more relaxed about their PDAs.

She pointed to some examples of “Kate touching Prince William on the back and some rather flirtatious eye contact between them.”

However, she claimed: “In terms of the overall dynamic there is an intrinsic difference.”

This relates to how the couples walk together. Many will notice Kate tends to walk behind William, which Meghan will walk before Harry.

In fact, Meghan has been doing this more so since she and prince arrived in the US, Judi claims.

Judi said: “Meghan is often seen taking the lead on her visits and video talks with Harry, a trait that has intensified now they are back in the US.”

Yesterday, she noted: “Kate is a pace behind here, allowing her husband to pull rank by instigating the greeting rituals.

“This is not a submissive ritual from Kate, though.

“Her loving glances and her smiles and touches of encouragement look rather proud and semi-maternal, making William beam as he comes out of the slightly shy state he often displays.

“He seems to be basking in his wife’s approval signals here, with his puckered smile plus the way his toe raises as he talks, suggesting pleasure and a sense of shared fun.”

Kate Middleton did take after Meghan Markle yesterday, wearing jewellery from a particular brand.

They are from another favourite brand of Meghan Markle’s Missoma.

Kate was wearing the 18ct gold vermeil rhodochrosite earrings from the company, called the Rhodochrosite Gold Mini Pyramid Charm Hoops, £85.

The pretty pieces come with a hidden message of sorts, relating to the crystal in the piece.

Missoma said: “Our Rhodochrosite Pyramid Hoops feature a heart-based healing crystal that radiates love, compassion and all-around good vibes.”

Another piece of Kate Middleton’s jewellery has “great significance” to William.
