Nando’s is giving customers 50% off if you bring your gran or grandad

Have you even taken your nan to Nando's?

Well if you haven't, then now is the right time to, as the restaurant chain is giving customers who bring their nan or grandad, or anyone over the age of 65 for that matter, 50% off.

The NanGo's Free campaign begin on Monday June 7 and will run until Wednesday June 9.

It's hoped the money-saving deal will encourage the younger generation to reconnect with their elderly relatives or friends as lockdown restrictions ease.

Nando's said: "After a year of being apart, it's finally time to be reunited with your favourite people again.

"We know your Nan's probably top of the list, which is why we're here to help.

"From the 7th-9th June, when you bring along your special person over the age of 65, we'll give you 50% off your total bill.

"There's no better time to take the OAP (Official Appreciator of PERi-PERi) in your life for their first ever Nando's!"

To get your unique code to claim the deal, you'll need to sign up – which you can do here – and your nan – or other OAP – will need to have valid ID ready to show staff at the restaurant.

The deal comes after Nando's announced a new menu – with added items and "improved" fan favourite recipes last month.

New food additions include a refreshing new Rainbow Bowl, a crunchy Quinoa & Feta Salad, and the option to add new Nando’s PERi-Plant Strips to your salad for an extra bit of PERi-PERi protein.

There are also some "improved recipes" for its selection of Burgers and Pittas.

You can also add a brand new spice to meals with the arrival of Garlic BBQ on the PERi-ometer. This gives a kick of sweet and smoky garlic to your meal and sits between Plain and Lemon & Herb – replacing XXHot.
