Even as a little girl growing up in Bermondsey, Jade Goody always dreamed of a big white wedding.
And as she stood in her beautiful Manuel Mota-designed gown in her luxurious suite at the stunning Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire, that glorious moment had finally arrived.
However, never once did Jade imagine her special day would be tinged with such sadness.
The reality star, who was 27 at the time, always imagined that when she tied the knot she would be looking forward to a long and happy life ahead with her true love.

She wanted to have more children and create many more happy memories, but sadly, as we all know, she passed away later that month.
Jade died of cervical cancer on 22 March 2009, leaving behind her husband Jack Tweed and the two beautiful sons she shared with Jeff Brazier, Bobby, who was five at the time, and Freddy, who was just four when his mother died.
Just one month before her death, Jade wed Jack Tweed in a beautiful and emotional wedding and OK! magazine was there to capture every romantic yet utterly heartbreaking moment.
Speaking about her special day to OK! at the time, Jade remained optimistic before walking down the aisle as she said: "There are so many things to look forward to on the day.
"We have fireworks and we are releasing doves in the evening. And I can't wait to dance my first dance and see the kids eating their slices of cake. There are so many things I can't wait to do – just like any bride."
Jack’s best friend, Mark Wright acted as best man on the day before his TOWIE fame and was seen breaking down in tears as he watched the newlyweds dancing for the first time.
Thanking her friends and family on the special day, Jade told them to “cross their fingers” because a “miracle might happen”, which left the whole wedding party with wet eyes.
Jade had been diagnosed the year before, but once medics had told her it was terminal, her and Jack decided to officially cement their love.
Jack had hastily popped the question to his bride the day after Valentine's Day – with a diamond ring from Tiffany and Co, he proposed by the River Thames.
"I was so happy when Jack proposed," Jade told OK! at the time. "For that split second I forgot all about the cancer, forgot all about the pain.
"I'd waited to hear the words 'Will you marry me?' for so long and it didn't disappoint me. I was over the moon."
And, as Jade's dreams came true on her special day she revealed that even her dress was one of dreams, too.
She said: "I tried on so many but when I found the one I fell in love with it straight away.
"It is just the kind of dress I'd dreamt I'd walk down the aisle in. "
Big Brother star Jade and Jack's ceremony was an emotional one, as the bishop recited some beautiful words as the couple embraced.
He said: "I love you for ever and ever without reserve. When I see you, then I feel well again."
As she stood at the alter and wiped away tears, Jade told Jack in front of friends and family, including Jade's mother Jackiey: "You are so handsome to me.
"You are my life, my light, my hope and my joy. I will treasure you.
"I will cherish you. I will be utterly devoted to you. Through the laughter and the tears, through the darkness and the light, I will be your eternal love, your constant companion, your closest friend, pledging you my deepest commitment."
After exchanging rings, the couple were told to light a candle each and do the same every year on the day – Jack would light it on earth while Jade would light her flame in heaven, and they would be the perfect union.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, the crowd burst into applause.
The newly weds and guests were treated to a lavish three course meal after the ceremony, which comprised of smoked duck and mustard potato, a beef main and a chocolate ice cream for dessert.
As the main dishes were served, while Tenors & Divas serenaded the wedding party, the waiters burst into a flamboyant song and dance routine.

And, during her wedding day speech, the Big Brother star thanked the "special people" in her life who had helped to plan her wedding in such a short amount of time.
She said: "Looking at that, makes me want to go on forever and for nothing to happen to me.
"I’m so grateful for you all and I love you all so much. I don’t ever want to leave you. And I’m not going to because I’m going to get through this.”
Jade told OK! magazine at the time of her wedding ceremony: “I’ve had the happiest day of my life. Now I’m ready to go to heaven.”
