Stacey Solomon has been busy renovating her youngest son Rex’s bedroom at her new £1.2million home affectionately named Pickle Cottage.

The 31 year old mum-of-three, who recently created a stunning feature wall in the room, put her DIY skills to good use on Friday as she put together an adorable bed for one-year-old Rex.

However, Stacey could not help but laugh as fiancé Joe Swash, 39, and her brother-in-law were left with the task of taking the old bed down the narrow stairs which appeared to prove difficult.

Sharing a clip of the two men struggling with the huge bed frame to her 4.4million Instagram followers, she penned: “Took the bed apart in three chunks so it would be easy to assemble again.

“Asked my brother-in-law to help take it down with Joe. Told them it would 100 per cent fit. And it turns out it doesn’t fit at all.

“I think they just need to pivot if I am honest.”

Meanwhile the Tap to Tidy author got to work on Rex’s new bed after she recently sanded the floors in the room to create a fresh and airy feel.

Captioning footage of Rex helping her screw the bed together, she wrote: “While those two were figuring out how to get down the stairs me and Rex built his new bed.”

Stacey looked in her element as she pieced the white wooden bed together before placing it next to the gorgeous grey feature wall decked with pretty hexagonal lights.

She added: “I went with a really simple, basic, no faff bed so he can keep all of his floor space to play and enjoy his walls too.”

In true Stacey style she clicked her fingers to magically reveal the sheets neatly arranged on the bed.

Taking a look at the new bed, Stacey has opted for crisp white sheets with animals printed in a black outline to match the beautiful stickers on the feature wall.

To create extra storage, Stacey has placed wicker baskets underneath the bed to store toys and keep the room tidy.

Rex appeared to love his new bed as Stacey captured her son fast asleep on top of the sheets.

She wrote: “This was literally 10 minutes later. He’s finally fallen asleep somewhere he is supposed to.”
