Telltale sign a man has a larger than average penis according to a doctor

There is no clear-cut way to know the size of a penis without whipping out a measuring tape, but a doctor says the length of fingers can be a clue.

A study has found half of men have concerns about the size of their penis and – despite the popular myth – there is absolutely no link with shoe size.

In a TikTok video watched more than a million times, NHS bowel surgeon Dr Karan Rajan explains the "2D:4D ratio" between index and ring fingers and what this means for testosterone levels, and penile length.

He says in the clip: "You can guess the size of a man's [penis] by how short his index finger is.

"According to a urological study in the Asian Journal of Andrology, a shorter ring finger in comparison to an index finger correlated with a bigger [penis].

"This is known as the second to fourth digit ratio.

"You calculate it by dividing the length of the index finger by the length of the ring finger

"The smaller the index finger, the lower the 2D:4D ratio.

"A smaller digit ratio points to high exposure to testosterone in the uterus and according to the study, testosterone doesn't just control future penis length but also future finger length."

This comes after a woman asked for advice when her husband shamed her for putting bloody sanitary towels in the bin after she gave birth to their baby.

And a man begged the internet for advice because his wife never puts down their newborn baby and "screams hysterically" whenever he tries to hold the infant.
