The Love Island bombshells who have split up couples – as two new islanders go in

Love Island has been filled with drama over recent days following the iconic Casa Amor twist, which saw the couples' relationships put to the ultimate test.

Movie Night has only added to the tension in the villa, with the girls and boys finding out what their other halves got to up while they were away from each other.

Just as some Islanders are beginning to forgive and forget, Love Island bosses have sent in two new bombshells – Rosie Seabrook and Keanan Brand – to shake things up a little bit more.

Some bombshells arrive and exit the villa within a matter of days while others successfully manage to turn heads and go on to break up budding romances on the ITV2 show.

Here we take a look back at some of the Love Island bombshells who split up couples…

Jay Younger

Jay Younger caused a huge stir in the Love Island villa when he arrived as a bombshell in 2022.

He caught Ekin-Su Culculoglu's attention immediately, and despite the actress being in a couple with Davide Sanclimenti, Jay and Ekin-Su soon found themselves sharing a secret kiss on the terrace.

The scene made for one of the series most iconic moments, with Ekin-Su crawling across the floor in order to stay hidden from her fellow Islanders.

The pair's kiss was soon revealed however, leaving Davide furious. He branded Ekin-Su a "liar" in a heated exchange and things looked to be over for the couple, but they soon reconciled and went on to be crowned the winners of the 2022 series.

Joanna Chimonides

Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill's romance had appeared to be going well on Love Island 2019, but Casa Amor sparked the end for the pair.

Michael's head was turned by Joanna Chimonides while he was away in Casa Amor, and he made the decision to recouple with her, leaving Amber, who had stayed loyal to him, single.

Amber was left devastated by Michael's actions and a series of heated exchanges followed as Joanna settled into the main villa.

Joanna was eventually dumped from the island, with Michael opting to stay on the show. With Joanna gone, he soon admitted he still had feelings for former flame Amber but she had moved on.

Amber went on to win the ITV2 dating show alongside late arrival Greg O'Shea.

Molly Smith

Another Islander who fell victim to the Casa Amor twist was Callum Jones, who decided to recouple with bombshell Molly Smith on Winter Love Island 2020.

He had been coupled up with Shaughna Phillips since day one in the villa and things appeared to be going well for the couple up until Callum headed to Casa Amor.

He soon found himself gravitating towards model Molly, and ultimately decided to recouple with her. Shaughna, who was left single, was understandably devastated by Callum's decision.

Megan Barton-Hanson

Megan Barton-Hanson is probably one of Love Island's most memorable bombshells and she definitely stirred things up when she arrived in 2018.

She first set her sights on Eyal Booker but the pair's romance was short-lived, prompting Megan to make a beeline for Wes Nelson, who was coupled up with Laura Anderson.

After revealing her feelings to Wes, he soon decided to cool things off with Laura, with a number of tense exchanges followed.

Wes and Megan made it to the final as a couple while Laura came in second place with late arrival Paul Knops.

Jess Shears

Jess Shears arrived in the Love Island villa just days after the show had began in 2017, and she immediately made a beeline for Dom Lever.

Dom had been coupled up with Montana Brown but his head was soon turned by Jess, who then chose him to recouple with at the next ceremony. Montana was devastated at the time, but she and Dom went on to become good friends.

It was clearly love at first sight for Jess and Dom, who went on to get married and now share two children.

Kaz Crossley

Josh Denzel entered the Love Island villa in 2018 as a bombshell, with Georgia Steel arriving days later. The pair soon formed a connection and things were going from strength to strength between them, until it was time for Casa Amor.

Georgia remained loyal during Casa Amor, while Josh's head was turned by bombshell Kaz Crossley. He decided to bring Kaz back to the main villa, leaving Georgia noticeably heartbroken as she was left single.

Josh and Kaz went on to come in third place on the ITV2 show, while Georgia was dumped from the island alongside Sam Bird just days before the final.

Emma Jane Woodhams

Emma Jane Woodhams really stirred things up on Love Island series two. The brunette beauty quickly turned Terry Walsh's head, despite him making Malin Andersson his girlfriend just days earlier.

Emma and Terry's romance went from 0 to 100 quickly, and he even admitted he didn't miss his then-girlfriend Malin, who had been dumped from the villa days before Emma's arrival.

Malin then reappeared on the show to confront Terry, making for one of the most iconic moments in Love Island history.

Malin furiously confronted her boyfriend, who had been told he was heading out of the villa for a day out, sparking the end of their short-lived relationship.

Terry and Emma's romance continued on the show and they went on to date for a number of months outside of the villa.

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
