The Range shoppers fuming over retailers Easter Egg snap on Instagram

Shoppers of The Range have left fuming over one of the store's last Instagram posts.

The retailer took to its official account to share a photo of one of its aisles fully stocked with Easter eggs.

However, some people weren't left impressed at all.

Many slammed the brand for selling the chocolate eggs already in January, when Easter isn't until April.

And they didn't hold back as they took to the comments section of the post.

The photo, which features tons of different eggs and bunnies, was captioned: "Oh, look choccy eggs are in!

"Some of you might be thinking that it's too soon to start thinking about Easter but it's never too soon to start treating yourself to delicious chocolate eggs like these."

One person moaned: "Far too early," as another exclaimed: "It’s not even mid January."

A third chimed in, saying: "What the f**k," while another reminded the retailer: "Four months until Easter."

Despite the backlash, it seems others were ready for the Easter choccy already.

One person quipped: "*Gets in the car to The Range immediately!*"

As another commented: "One of each please."

A third wrote: "Choccy eggggssss!!! Yaaaaas."

While a fourth simply said: "Amazing!"

The backlash comes after a shopper left a cranky note on a packet of Easter hot cross buns that they spotted in a supermarket.

The note was seen stuck to a six-pack of chocolate Easter buns from Aussie supermarket Coles.

It read: "The last time I checked, the celebration of the birth and death of Jesus were not separated by less than a month."
