Rock fans are about to get some major satisfaction: The Rolling Stones announced Thursday morning that the “No Filter” tour is back on track.
“Thanks so much for bearing with us … we are delighted to announce the new dates and all of the cities from the previous postponed shows are locked in,” the bandmates said in a joint statement. “We apologize again for any inconvenience the rescheduling of these dates may have caused you and hope to see you at a show very soon!”
The concerts were postponed March 30 when iconic frontman Mick Jagger, 75, entered the hospital for treatment.
“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment,” the band said in a statement at the time. It was announced the next day that Jagger had a stent placed in his heart to relieve a blockage and treat weakened arteries.
If the rehearsal video he shared Wednesday with his 1.7 million Instagram followers is any indication, the enduring stage strutter is already feeling up to one of his signature marathon live performances.
The tour launches June 21 in Chicago and hits the tristate area Aug. 1 with a two-night stand at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. No New York City dates have been announced at this time.
