Wetherspoons accused of ‘stuffing Christmas’ after shunning turkey roast dinners

Wetherspoons won’t be serving traditional Christmas dinners this year.

The pub giant hasn’t listed turkey with all the trimmings on its winter menu.

This has enraged some – with a staff member even accusing bosses of saying “stuff Christmas”.

An employee told The Sun: “They’ve basically said, ‘stuff Christmas’.

“Our customers aren’t going to like it. Punters tell us that nothing beats a proper Christmas dinner.”

While some are disappointed there won’t be a turkey roast on the menu, others will be excited by the other options being made available this November.

JD Wetherspoon has a wide variety of options planned for Christmas 2020.

From November 12 to December 24, customers can pick up festive burgers.

Chicken and stuffing, brie and bacon, buttermilk chicken and stuffing and brie and cranberry are among the options available.

Christmassy pizzas have also made it onto the menu.

There’s a chicken, stuffing, bacon and brie option, as well as a brie and smoky chill jam one.

Creamy risotto, festive paninis and plates of pigs in blankets are among the other choices on the menu.

And to finish everything off, customers can end the evening with a gingerbread muffin filled with sweet syrup.

The winter menu is an affordable one too.

You can expect to pay around £9.15 for a burger and alcoholic drink.

Meanwhile, getting a tipple with a festive pizza will set you back around £9.99.
