MANCHESTER UNITED are set for a prolonged period without any games due to the coronavirus – with Premier League chiefs extending the ban until April 30.

Paul Pogba is determined to do his bit to help (to stir the pot) and has trained in a Juventus shirt to support France team-mate Blaise Matuidi, who tested positive for the virus.

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will return to the club after his loan spell at Inter Milan comes to an end, according to reports.

Corriere dello Sport report the Chilean's fate is already sealed and that his only chance of staying in Serie A was if he had been the star of an impressive season.

Sanchez has been way off his top form in Italy, scoring just one goal in all competitions for his new side.

He has made 15 appearances, registering just two assists and has not done enough to convince the Inter hierarchy he is investing in for the long term.

Here is a reminder as to why Mino Raiola is chatting about Paul Pogba's future, as reported exclusively by SunSport's Neil Custis today.

Despite suggestions that a peace deal is being made, both sides want a splitting of the ways.

Offers around £100million would see United move quickly to get a deal done for a player whose contract is up next summer.

The Red Devils have the option of triggering a one-year extension but that would be only to protect the value of the French World Cup winner.

Real Madrid and Juventus are still interested in midfielder Pog, 27, and believe they can get the most out of his talent.

Mino Raiola has increased speculation he will try and force through a move for Paul Pogba to Real Madrid this summer.

Without naming the United midfielder, he said: “I definitely want to take a great player to Real Madrid, and I will try to do so this summer.

“It would be a source of pride for me and my players because Real Madrid are a great club.”

“We are united in our commitment to finding ways of resuming the 2019-20 football season and ensuring all domestic and European club league and cup matches are played as soon as it is safe and possible to do so.

“We have collectively supported Uefa in postponing Euro 2020 to create space in the calendar to ensure domestic and European club league and cup matches have an increased opportunity to be played and, in doing so, maintain the integrity of each competition.

“The FA’s Rules and Regulations state that 'the season shall terminate not later than the 1 June' and 'each competition shall, within the limit laid down by The FA, determine the length of its own playing season'.

“However, The FA’s Board has agreed for this limit to be extended indefinitely for the 2019-20 season in relation to Professional Football.

“Additionally, we have collectively agreed that the professional game in England will be further postponed until no earlier than 30 April.”
