  • RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK needed to learn to walk again after snapping his achilles tendon.

The Chelsea star has revealed that the last five months have been agonising as he looks to return to the pitch next month.

Loftus-Cheek told WOWHYDRATE: “I’ve actually had a few setbacks that have put me behind which has been quite frustrating to be honest.

“I’ve had to learn to walk again and I’ve only just got pain free but for sure I’m going to come back stronger, sharper and do whatever I can to be in better shape.

“Before I got injured I was playing my best football. I’ve missed feeling tired from running, from hard work, that feeling of being in a game again.”

  • CHELSEA wonderkid Fikayo Tomori has revealed he doesn’t play FIFA and Fortnite with his new England team-mates because he’s too busy studying for his degree.

    He said: “Everyone is gaming.

“I’m not really much of a gamer, I let them get on with it, but there’s a lot of FIFA and Fortnite going on.

“We’re also talking about football, life, everything. It helps me feel more relaxed. It’s bonding. You can talk to each other, get to know each other, see people’s personalities.

“It’s good because you get to know someone and that can translate onto the pitch. Those times away from the pitch are just important as on the pitch.

“I’ve had a little look at my books.

Obviously it’s the first few days [of the England camp], so I’ve tried not to look at that too much and be focused on the football. But when I do have free time, I can look at them.

“I like to spend time with the boys, which is important, and have a bit of fun. But at night before I’m going to bed or whatever, I might have a look over it.”

The 18-year-old has been heralded as one of Croatia's most exciting prospects, with the winger already featuring in four league games for the senior side this season.

His performances have caught the eye of a number of clubs as they look to land the teenager.

According to Sky Sports, City are keeping tabs on the player as they weigh up a move for Marin.

  • CHRISTIAN PULISIC has a “major problem” at Chelsea, according to Chris Sutton.

He told Radio 5 Live: “Pulisic has to prove himself.

“Frank Lampard has no agenda against him, he's picking the best possible team to win games of football, that's his job.

“He wasn't Frank's signing, of course.

“With Callum Hudson-Odoi and Mason Mount coming to the fore, he's going to have a major problem getting into the starting line-up. I really do think that.”
