But Frank Lampard and co are busy scouting far and wide as he looks to strengthen ahead of a top four push this season.
A defender looks like a certain for Lamps, with injuries and lack of fitness to a number of his centre-backs leaving the Blues struggling to keep goals out – with Brighton's Lewis Dunk among the targets.

Olivier Giroud can't join Inter Milan until Matteo Politano is sold, according to reports.
The former Arsenal striker has allegedly agreed terms with the Italian side.
But La Gazzetta dello Sport claim he will not be able to join them until Politano is off the books.
Politano has attracted interest from AC Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli after falling out of favour under Antonio Conte.
Maurizio Sarri has joked that his wife still thinks he is the “same d***head” at Juventus as he was at Chelsea.

Brighton will reportedly not sell Chelsea target Lewis Dunk for any less than £50million.
The Blues have approached the Seagulls as Frank Lampard looks to bolster his defence.
According to the Times, Brighton would not stand if Dunk's way if he wanted to leave.
But Chelsea will have to dig deep to meet their valuation.
