ISTANBUL BASAKSEHIR have been the story of the season in Turkey, storming up the Super Lig standings.
The Turkish club were reformed under their new name just four years ago having originally been founded in 1990, under the name "Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor".
However, they've thrown huge money at reforming their squad to become genuine Super Lig challengers.
Now, level on points with leaders Galatasaray at the top of the table, it appears the financial influx has reaped the rewards.
Istanbul Basaksehir have lost just four times in 31 games this season – scoring 45 goals and conceding just 18.
But with the team they're able to call on week-in, week-out, it's hardly a surprise.
In fact, one potential starting XI reads like a who's-who of 2000s superstars.
One attacking trio the club are able to thrown on to the pitch boasts Emmanuel Adebayor, Demba Ba and Robinho.
A midfield four of Emre, Kerim Frei, Arda Turan and Gokhan Inler sits behind that, with even more talent in defence.
Ex-Arsenal and Manchester City full-back Gael Clichy is on the books – as is ex-Bundesliga ace Junior Caicara, alongside former Bayern Munich defender Serdar Tasci.
