JOCKEY Kieran O'Neill was being assessed by doctors at Lingfield after a horror fall.
He came down from Goodwood Showman in the last race on the all weather card with fellow rider Callum Shepherd being brought down in the same incident.
Shepherd was able to walk back to the weighing room and reported O'Neill was able to talk and sit upright.
O'Neill was taken off the track by an ambulance to be further assessed by on-course doctors.
Sadly Goodwood Showman, the horse that came down, was fatally injured.
Cafe Milano, the other horse involved, was reportedly fine.
The horses involved were both in the rear of the closing Play 4 To Score At Betway Handicap, eventually won by favourite El Conquistador.
Goodwood Showman appeared to take a false step approaching the final bend and came down in a nasty fall.
Cafe Milano was in behind and left with nowhere to go.
The four-year-old managed to avoid Goodwood Showman but was so unbalanced he soon unshipped rider Shepherd.
