KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV brutally trolled Tony Ferguson after the former interim UFC lightweight champion tried to mock him on social media.
In November, fan favourite Ferguson tweeted a mock-up picture of himself elbowing Nurmagomedov with the accompanying caption: "Alphamoad – CSO – #ThatTypeOfGuy Stay Sharp My Friends – Champ Run Fathead Run #Road2Gold Be Ready."
El Cucuy followed that up the following month by bizarrely mocking the creation of a 165lb division in Nurmagomedov's Eagles FC promotion.
And the retired Nurmagomedov eventually responded to his old rival with a short and blistering tweet.
He tweeted: "June 8, 2019."
Nurmagomedov's tweet was in reference to the date of Ferguson's last victory, which came against Donald Cerrone at UFC 239.
Ferguson, however, refused to let his Russian rival have the final word.
He replied: "UFC 209, [he] blamed it on the cake, [he] felt fear for his life.

"UFC 249, [he] ran to [his] momma."
Despite the undefeated Nurmagomedov being retired, the pair have continued to trade barbs on social media over the last year.
The pair were scheduled to face one another a staggering FIVE times but sadly never shared the octagon.
Injuries for both men, complications from a stressful weight cut and the coronavirus pandemic laid waste to one of the most stylistically-intriguing match-ups in the history of the lightweight division.
Ferguson, 37, is currently on a three-fight skid following defeats to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush.
Defeat in his next outing could spell the end of his near 11-year stint in mixed martial arts' premier promotion.
And fighter-turned promoter Nurmagomedov hasn't ruled out the possibility of signing the Ultimate Fighter season 13 winner should he be cut by the UFC.
The Eagle recently said: "Anything is possible. We are open to everything.
"Why not? These guys have built themselves throughout their careers. They have over 10 fights in the UFC and are former champions of the UFC."
Ferguson hasn't fought since his defeat to Dariush last June, although the promotion does have his next fight lined up.
UFC president Dana White recently said; “I think we have a fight for Tony Ferguson. I think we have him lined up with somebody.”
