Luka Jovic next club odds: Arsenal & Everton Prem favourites to sign Real Madrid outcast, Chelsea & Man Utd in the mix

ARSENAL and Everton are the Premier League's leading contenders to sign Real Madrid centre-forward Luka Jovic, according to bookmakers Betfair.

Jovic's stint at the Bernabeu looks to be heading for a premature end having been loaned out to Frankfurt for the remainder of the season.

The Serbia international signed a six-year deal with Real Madrid, who paid a whopping £56m for his signature in June 2019.

But he's struggled to make any significant impact having scored just two goals in 32 appearances.

Jovic didn't take long to prove his credentials when scoring twice in 28 minutes on his debut return to Frankfurt.

And his exploits, along with his potential availability, have seen plenty of European sides tipped to launch a bid this coming summer.

Bundesliga side Frankfurt, where he's scored 38 goals in 77 appearances, are the market leaders at 5/4.

Arsenal are second favourites at 11/2 as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options.

Everton look to be gearing up for a forward signing with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun their only recognised striking options.

They are 8/1 and could have the funds if Moise Kean joins Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis.

German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach and Spanish giants Valencia are next at 14/1 and 16/1 respectively.

Chelsea, who also have Erling Haaland in their sights, are a massive 25/1 with Manchester United completing the field at 25/1.

Asked about Jovic's departure, manager Zinedine Zidane said: "Madrid is difficult, I've experienced it as a player, and what Luka has done is go and play.

"I think it has been a good option to buy Luka and I am happy for him, and for him to do the same one day in Madrid. But inside and outside it's different.

"He has a future, and he can show it at Madrid and it's the same for everyone. Here there is always a very strong competition, but the coach is not to blame."
