A FORD MUSTANG owned by Manchester City hero Vincent Kompany is due to go under the hammer later this week.
The limited edition muscle car is a 2008-built, supercharged V8 Shelby GT-C estimated to cost between £25,000 and £30,000.
Saturday's Classic Car Auctions event in Warwickshire will see the Mustang go up for sale.
According to the official lot listing, Kompany is the only previous owner of the vehicle.
Only 215 of the special edition GT-C coupes were sold, each possessing a sun visor signed by the legendary late car designer Carroll Shelby.
This model is officially No.50 of the set, each of which were signed off at the Shelby America centre in Las Vegas.
Finished in "Grabber Orange" with the signature racing stripes in silver, the vehicle has only done 3,000 miles.
Therefore it is no surprise it has scored 132/135 in the auction's official condition ratings – including top marks for the interior and transmission as the former City defender evidently looked after his car.
The Mustang will pack plenty of its trademark punch with a 5.0L engine and Ford FR3 Racing handling pack.
Petrolheads can see how much the car goes for – or even bid for it – when the CCA event takes place on Saturday, December 7.
Kompany, 33, is currently player-coach at Belgian club Anderlecht having left Manchester in the summer, where he made over 350 appearances and won four Premier League titles.
