Man Utd outcast Sergio Romero's transfer to Inter Miami collapses with exiled keeper set to stay until January

SERGIO ROMERO'S move to Inter Miami has collapsed leaving his future in limbo, according to reports.

The Manchester United outcast looked set for a switch to David Beckham's franchise before the MLS deadline on Friday.

But the Daily Mail report how talks have broken down, forcing the 33-year-old to remain at Old Trafford until at least January.

Romero, who earns £100,000-a-week, is now FOURTH choice at the Red Devils behind David De Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant.

He was fuming after boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left him out of his Premier League and Champions League squads.

United then surprisingly blocked his loan move to Everton in the summer despite the Toffees willing to pay a £2million fee and his entire wages.

Having been part of the squad since 2015, Romero's wife Eliana then slammed United on Instagram.

She wrote: "Sergio Romero worked hard for his club.

"Last trophy they won, they lifted it with him.

"He helped the team reach four finals/semi-finals and then he was on the bench, only to lose them all.

"It is time for them to return the opportunity and let him go. RESPECT FOR ONCE!!!! [sic]."

Romero was a key part of United's Europa campaign last season and played in the quarter-final win before being dropped against Sevilla in the last four.
