N'Golo Kante next club odds: Chelsea risk losing midfield star with PSG, Real Madrid & Barcelona tipped to challenge

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are favourites to sign Chelsea star N'Golo Kante, according to bookmakers Betfair.

The defensive midfielder, 29, has spent most of his time warming the bench since manager Thomas Tuchel arrived at Stamford Bridge.

Kante, who joined from Leicester in 2016, hasn't started a Premier League match under the German tactician after missing the whole of January through injury.

And that's sparked fears from Chelsea supporters that he'll be searching for a new club in the approaching summer transfer window.

French champions PSG are the leading contenders to be Kante's next destination at 3/1.

There have been claims the Parisian outfit are looking to offload Idrissa Gueye this summer and Kante could be the ideal replacement.

Real Madrid are their closest challengers at 4/1 as manager Zinedine Zidane considers his compatriot to help revitalise the club's fortunes.

Further back in the market are Italian heavyweights Juventus at 6/1 with Barcelona the outsiders of the bunch at 8/1.

Concerns over Kante's future stem from a video of the player being congratulated by Tuchel after Monday's win over Newcastle.

The new boss was ecstatic when entering the field to hug his players.

But Kante didn't look too impressed having been benched for the fourth time in five games, politely smiling and looking away.

However, Tuchel is clearly a big fan having described him as one of the 'best midfielders' in the world shortly after his arrival.

He said: "I think N'Golo fits into any manager's plans on the planet. I was desperate to have him in my teams.

"He is a big Chelsea player and one of the best midfielders in the world. So I am so lucky to have him in my squad and that he is back again.

"I am very, very impressed. We've known him for many years very well because we've come from a French club.

"We were very impressed from the television but to see him live, to see how he works, how humble he is, the quality he gives to the team, it's a gift to be his coach. I am so happy.

"He is an outstanding player we need in a strong squad and at a bib club like Chelsea."
