Paige Spiranac calls Charles Barkley’s new golf swing ‘most surprising' turn of 2020 & NBA star’s form now ‘looks good’

GOLF personality Paige Spiranac has hailed former NBA star Charles Barkley's improved swing as one of the 'most surprising turns' of 2020.

The social media beauty and Playing A Round host was talking about former Philly 76er forward Barkley's improved swing after it was widely regarded as one of the worst in the sport's history.

But during The Match on Friday, Barkley unveiled his new swing while playing alongside Phil Mickelson against Peyton Manning and Steph Curry.

His much improved form on tee appeared to leave Spiranac impressed, with the personality tweeting: “The most surprising turn of events in 2020 is that Charles Barkley’s golf swing looks good."

Golf Digest also hailed the Chuckster's improved form, commenting: "Barkley hit the fairway on his first two tee shots! We didn’t see the end result on the short par-4 third hole, but he hit a straight, low drive.

"And he hit the fourth fairway, too. The Round Mound of Rebound has taken this swing from the range to the golf course – something we haven’t seen before from Barkley."

The Inside The NBA pundit showed some inconsistencies throughout the round, but overall, his swing looked much better than normal.

The pair were pre-match underdogs for the 18-hole showdown at Stone Canyon Golf Club in Arizona, with Golden State Warriors star Curry a scratch golfer and two-time Super Bowl champion Manning a single-digit handicapper.

The first edition of The Match was played in 2018 at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, where Mickelson beat Tiger Woods in a winner-take-all $9 million showdown.

And recently, Woods and Manning defeated Mickelson and Tom Brady at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida, in May of this year.

Meanwhile, social media favorite Paige – who has 2.9million Instagram followers – recently revealed she is fascinated by 2020 Masters winner Dustin Johnson's relationship with fiancee Paulina Gretzky.

A tearful Paulina rushed to seal his amazing Masters victory with a kiss on November 15 after DJ broke the 72-hole scoring record by finishing on 20 under par.

Johnson, 36, whisked Paulina and their friends and family off to the Caribbean on a private jet for a well-earned holiday after his victory.

And the daughter of ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky looked stunning as she soaked up the sun in a white bikini.
