Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe will perform their Couples’ Choice routine tomorrow night as they hope to wow Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse. However, the pair’s position on the leaderboard may have already been revealed as the Strictly Come Dancing professional dropped a huge clue on the potential success of the dance.
Host and former Strictly star Gethin Jones quizzed Caroline and Johannes on their upcoming routine.
Gethin began: “In between searching for the fire that Shirley badly wants for them tomorrow night, they popped up in between rehearsals for a bit of a chat.
“Don’t worry about the fire but there’s plenty of jazz hands going on in this routine.”
“We’re proper showbiz this week,” Caroline replied. “We’re full-on showbiz dance.”

“It’s always a funny day the Friday because you get to run through and there are lots of new things to deal with: props, lights, cameras, all that,” she continued.
Gethin asked: “All of those things that we’ll see tomorrow night. What can you tell us about the dance? Because you couldn’t really say much on Monday with Zoe, could you?”
“What can we say now that we couldn’t on Monday?” Caroline asked Johannes.
“Everything,” the Strictly professional joked.
“Outfit?” Gethin asked and Caroline replied: “I haven’t seen my outfit yet.”
“Wig?” the host asked and Caroline echoed: “I haven’t seen my wig yet.”
Gethin then asked if she knew which song she was performing too.
“I know it’s Everything’s Coming Up Roses by Gypsy because I’ve been dancing to that but beyond that, I don’t actually know,” the actress replied.

“That’s one of the things about this show, the further on it goes the less time everyone has to prepare your costumes, your hair, all that.
“So you get them on the dress rehearsal which is tomorrow just before the live show.”
Gethin revealed: “You’ve had a few firsts, first Couples’ Choice, first Paso dance. Will it be the first time you’re top of the leaderboard tomorrow night with this dance?”
“Fingers crossed, I’m hoping for that and we’re working towards that,” Johannes answered.
“You’ve never done that before?” Caroline asked Johannes before adding: “I’d like to be his first.”
With Johannes performing his first Couples’ Choice this week, will they complete the night by scoring the highest marks of the night?
“I can’t imagine you two getting serious, I know there’s a lot of pressure, but I can’t imagine you getting serious before the show on a Saturday night,” Gethin said.
“We do laugh and we do enjoy ourselves but there is a moment when you’re just getting ready to come on and you have to focus
“There’s an enormous amount to take in and the concentration required to get through a dance you’ve only known for a few days is enormous so we do have to focus.”
