Craig Rowe is the surprise new addition to A Place in the Sun after months of secretly filming the Channel 4 programme. Fans will meet the new presenter in the latest season, and has already become a stand-out for many viewers. has all the details on the new daytime TV host.

How old is Craig Rowe from A Place in the Sun?

The new year has also meant a new presenter for A Place in the Sun, with the host making his debut during the first week of 2022.

As the latest member to join the team, viewers are keen to learn all they can about the presenter, as he is coming on board with a wealth of experience.

The exact age of Craig Rowe is unknown, though it is known he is in his 40s.

The star has been working in the property business for decades, first joining the holiday company Travelsphere when he was just 18 years old.

Upon joining A Place in the Sun, the star shared his excitement to join the team, telling Channel 4 it’s his “dream job”.

Rowe said: “I’m so delighted to become part of the ‘A Place in the Sun’ presenter team!

“Having loved travel since my teens and then nurturing a passion for property since buying my first flat in London 20 years ago, it’s my dream job! 

“As a real ‘people person’ I’m loving finding dream homes for my house hunters and get such a buzz the moment it all comes together, and they can start their new lives in the sun.”

In his 30s, Rowe decided to take a year out from work and travel the world, visiting countries such as Australia, Thailand, Singapore, the USA, and Jamaica.

Jamaica was a particularly important stop for him, as one of his parents is Jamaican, while the other is Welsh.

As for his presenting work, Rowe is best known for fronting shows on networks such as QVC, CBBC, Sky Travel, and appearing on ITV’s This Morning as a gadget guru. 

As both a presenter and voice actor, he has narrated children’s and holiday programmes for various networks.

Just this week he shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the new series of A Place in the Sun on his Instagram.

Accompanying the sneak peek footage was a caption which read: “Tomorrow (Friday 7th January) hails my debut at I join the team of property experts @aplaceinthesunofficial.

“Be sure to tune in live 3pm @channel4 or watch afterward online on All4.”

He will be joining the likes of Leah Charles-King, Jasmine Harman, Lee Juggurnauth, Jonnie Irwin, and Laura Hamilton.

Rounding out the 2022 presenters is Ben Hillman, Scarlette Douglas, Danni Menzies, and Jean Johansson.

Filming for the new series took place in Spain, France, and Barbados, which was done over the course of several months in 2021. 

Rowe’s first episode will see him travel to the scenic coastal town of Benia in Spain.

He will be helping newlyweds Alison and Gabriel find the home they have always dreamed of.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
