Danny Dyer arrives at EastEnders to film Mick's 'best ever story'

EastEnders star Danny Dyer was spotted arriving on set for filming of the BBC One soap.

Filming of the serial drama recently commenced after the coronavirus shut down, and social distancing measures have been implemented on the set and regulations are being adhered to in accordance with government guidelines.

Pre-lockdown episodes of EastEnders ran out on June 16, which means that — for the first time in history — the soap was forced to go off the air.

However, with a spectacular cliffhanger that left questions aplenty, viewers couldn’t be more excited for its return to screens later this year.

While there’s little known about what’s ahead, Danny recently revealed that Mick’s next storyline could be his best yet.

Speaking on Secrets From The Square, the actor told Stacey Dooley: ‘I think potentially when we come out of lockdown, I think I could have the best storyline I’ve ever had on this show.’

Considering Danny has been a part of some of the soap’s biggest and best storylines, it’s safe to say the excitement is real!

Co-star Kellie Bright — who portrays Danny’s on-screen wife Linda Carter — said: ‘We essentially are going to be coming out of lockdown like the rest of the county.

‘There are some testing times ahead for Mick and Linda.’

EastEnders will return to screens in the Autumn, with its four-episode-a-week format restored.

EastEnders: Secrets From The Square continues Monday August 3 at 8pm on BBC One followed by an Iconic episode on Tuesday August 4 at 7:30pm.
