Good Morning Britain’s Chief Correspondent Richard Gaisford stated that the current US President can still secure a victory if he wins Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, as well as either Arizona or Nevada. He added that victories in both Nevada and Arizona would be enough to secure Joe Biden the 2020 election.

ITV’s Piers Morgan asked: “Is there a way for Donald Trump to pull this off and still remain President?”

Mr Gaisford replied: “Yes, but he has got an awful lot to do.

“He has got to win Nevada, Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

“There are so many different ways this could work for Joe Biden, he really only needs to get Georgia, Nevada or Georgia, Arizona.

“The Pennsylvania thing is interesting but he doesn’t need it at this point if he gets some of those others.

“At the moment neither candidate has the amount of votes needed to win with key swing states still in play.

“Donald Trump’s path to victory is much narrower.

“He has to hold onto Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and win one of Nevada or Arizona.”

Earlier this morning, US political commentator Megyn Kelly told Good Morning Britain that although Donald Trump may not win the 2020 election overall it has been a better result for the Republican Party.

She added Mr Biden has no mandate from the people and that he will need to use executive orders to get legislation through the US political system.

Ms Kelly said: “On balance it was probably a better night for the Republicans than it was for the Democrats.

“The Republicans have got 10 more seats in the house, they were supposed to lose seats in the house and it looks like they have held onto control of the Senate.

“He comes in pretty hobbled, Biden, as he emerges to the top job, has no mandate.”

The political commentator added: “He doesn’t even know the people, he was in his basement sitting on a beanbag just trying to phone in for some Zooms.

“He didn’t work for it because he was winning with his basement strategy.

“The Republicans are going to be more determined than ever to stop everything he does.

“So we are going to be seeing executive orders and that is it.”
