EastEnders spoilers: Mel attacks Lisa in epic fight over blackmail revenge plot

EastEnders' Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) will attack best friend Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) in dramatic scenes set to air tonight.

The pair will come to blows over EastEnders cast member Mel's latest blackmail plot.

The grieving mother's behaviour has grown erratic following the shock death of her on Hunter, and she's determined to seek revenge.

However, a fed-up Lisa gets impatient with Mel's meddling and gives her some home truths.

This does not go down well with Mel who retaliates in the middle of the Square by attacking her former friend.

In first look pictures of tonight's episode, Mel can be seen slapping Lisa across her face.

Lisa is sen holding the side of her cheek in pain in one of the behind the scenes snaps.

The fall out comes after Mel decided to blackmail Sharon Mitchell (Letita Dean) into getting Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) to move back in her with mum Lisa, in a bid to annoy her dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Lisa isn't happy when she finds out about Mel's scheming plan.

Eastenders fans were overjoyed when Mel declared war on the Mitchell clan in previous scenes.

The businesswomen was left broken after former lover Phil did everything possible to make burying her son impossible.

Mel's revenge plot will lead to her departure from Albert Square.

The BBC confirmed this week that Mel's final scenes will see her put a sinister plan in motion involving the Mitchells leading to a shock car chase with pregnant Sharon that could have fatal implications.

The explosive scenes will mirror an epic car chase which occurred between Mel's late husband Steve Owen and Phil Mitchell back in 2002.

Fans will have to wait and see how Mel exits Walford.
