Emmerdale fans were left on the edge of their seats as a rope bridge above a canyon collapsed into the raging waters throwing certain members into the waters.
Standing on the frail bridge that was only supposed to have two people on their at once, viewers witnessed Manpreet Sharma, Charles Anderson, Victoria Sugden and David Metcalfe fall from the fragile ropes.
But as the scene took place so quickly, fans are unaware of who exactly plummeted into the river.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their disbelief while trying to speculate whether it was the end for Dr Manpreet.
One fan questioned: "Manpreet and Charles fell in?"
While another said: "Ok. I knew Charles and Manpreet ended up in the water but I didn't expect them to fall off that, like that! OMG! I gasped in shock."
Another fan penned: "Yeah that's Manpreet dead then. It was obvious that Meena's sister was going to get caught in the firing line."
"RIP Manpreet," a fourth added.
Manpreet's life was already in question during the first half of Monday night's programme.
Due to the fact that her sister Meena Jutla had already tampered with a harness that was meant for Victoria, fans believed that Manpreet might be the person who would end up getting the chop.
