Emmerdale spoilers: Luke Posner’s new lover ‘unveiled’ as Victoria Sudgen discovers secret

Emmerdale: Luke Posner attempts to calm Aaron Dingle

Luke (played by Max Parker) has been left shaken in the wake of Ethan Anderson’s (Emile John) as the Emmerdale newcomer seems to have a past with the Woolpack chef. During Friday’s edition of the ITV soap, it was revealed after months of speculation the village heartthrob had experienced a romantic encounter with a man. As viewers know, secrets don’t stay harboured for long and for this reason, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) will surely discover what her boyfriend is hiding from her. If they do decide to split, will Luke find comfort in the arms of Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller)?

After bumping into Ethan again during a recent instalment of the weeknight serial drama, Luke tried to convince the newcomer he was content in his current relationship.

The chef said: “I’m with Victoria now, we’re happy. I don’t want anything to spoil that. Look, my girlfriend Victoria, she’s been through a lot.

“And I don’t want her to think that I’d lied to her about something that didn’t mean anything anyway,” the heartthrob continued.

“I’m not gay, or bi. Steven was a one-time thing. I don’t want to get into this with you. You don’t know me and I don’t know you so stay the hell away,” he told the vicar’s son.

Although the beloved character seems to be denying the truth about his sexuality, there have been indications he might be romantically interested in men.

As well as being in no hurry to have sex with Victoria, viewers might remember when he first turned up in the village, he bumped into Aaron outside a gay bar.

Luke and the troublesome Dingle member haven’t shared a lot of scenes together but they do have a mutual connection in Victoria.

Though she is the heartthrob’s girlfriend, the mother-of-one is also Aaron’s best friend and inadvertently, she could bring the two men closer.

This would be a huge betrayal on both their parts if the two men were to begin an affair but viewers seem keen for them to end up together.

This means Luke and Aaron is happening

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “This means Luke and Aaron is happening then, with a second posting: “I felt like months and months ago Luke might fancy Aaron #Emmerdale.”

Another added: “Such a pity. If #emmerdale are doing a ‘fluid sexuality’ storyline with Luke, looks like a thing between Aaron and Mackenzie [Boyd] was just a red herring.”

Whilst a third commented: “f they are really going down that road with Luke on #Emmerdale I don’t see why people are shocked.

“I said from the get-go I felt there was more chemistry with him and Aaron when he was messing up Wendy’s [Posner] house than there was with Victoria which I don’t see at all honestly,” they continued.

Aaron was left devastated recently when his current love interest Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon) called things off with the mechanic.

After blowing hot and cold for some time, the newcomer decided he couldn’t be with the troublesome Dingle character.

This means the heartbreaker is single and therefore could be looking Luke’s away if he feels an attraction towards him.

It could be a secret affair which leads the chef to tell Victoria how he feels about his sexuality and he wants to pursue something with Aaron.

This would leave Victoria heartbroken as it took her months to trust Luke after being raped by his brother, Lee Posner (Kris Mochrie).

However, having deprived himself of loving a man for so long, will the heartthrob put himself first and begin a relationship with Aaron?

The actor who plays the chef, Max, has previously spoken on his thoughts about his character having an affair with the mechanic.

“I think the idea is fun but I think what the fans want to see is very different and I see a lot of things online with people like no and then some with yes,” he told the press, including Express.co.uk.

Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
