During his time in charge, Jordan was allowed to sit in the throne and dictate chores to his campmates.

Jordan surprised viewers when he chose Victoria as his deputy – despite sharing a close bond with Beverley Callard, 63.

Fans were in hysterics at her "disappointed face".

Today Bev hit back at rumours the castle is heated because campmates are lounging around in T-shirts.

She told the Daily Drop: “It’s freezing cold, but it’s actually not as bad as I thought it would be.

"We are all having a good time.”

And when quizzed on who's the grumpiest in camp, Bev said: “Jessica [Plummer].

"She does eat a lot and if she gets tired and the hunger really kicks in she gets very sad and upset.”

The Sun revealed this week contestants receive secret run-throughs of castle trials before they are filmed.

Celebs are coached to ensure they understand the “mechanics” of their bug-laced tasks at Gwrych Castle, North Wales.

An insider said: “It does remove some element of jeopardy.”

ITV insiders say they are done for health and safety — and entertainment — reasons.
